Hidden Heroes 2022

For our Fifth Annual Hidden Heroes Black and White Gala, the Fusion Watch, which is our virtual crime fighting unit, was honored for their commitment in keeping our community safe. Officers and civilians watch over 600 cameras in real-time throughout the city and use gunshot detection systems to listen to shootings 24/7, which not only helps to detect, solve, and prevent violent crimes, but they also serve to save the lives of officers who are out on the front lines. By using this state-of-the art 21st century technology, the Fusion Watch keeps our community safe behind the scenes. But this type of preventative and high technology policing is only possible when there is proper funding in a law enforcement agency, and it is a testament of how our community supports LMVPD.
