Hidden Heroes 2019

2019 was our Second Annual Hidden Heroes Black and White Gala, which was our first partnership with the LVMPD Foundation, the Cosmopolitan was our gracious host. We honored the 1 October Redaction Unit and the Explorer Program. The 1 October Redaction Unit was responsible for reviewing hours and hours of video footage from the 1 October tragedy for the duration of several months. Their grueling investigation of the tragedy was integral in the investigation of this mass shooting, and LVMPD Sherriff, Joe Lombardo attended to honor this section. We also highlighted the work of the LVMPD Explorer Program, which is a volunteer organization which exposes young adults to a career in law enforcement. Not only does it highlight what kind of law enforcement agency LVMPD is, many go on to follow a career with LVMPD to become future heroes in our community.
